Its best-known numbers, though, come from its manufacturer, and the independent trials mostly belong to its cousin argireline, which is where any fair account of it has to start.

What is acetyl octapeptide-3?

Acetyl octapeptide-3 is a short peptide, a chain of eight amino acids capped with an acetyl group for stability [1]. Peptides in skincare come in a few kinds. Argireline is the better studied of the pair.
