Cold-Preserved Vitamin C + Peptide Duo

The Glow Duo: Vitamin C Serum + Peptide Cream

★★★★★ 4.9 490 reviews
Fades Dark Spots Firms & Smooths Fine Lines Glow
Two full-size bottles · 50 ml / 1.7 fl oz each

Two products, two steps, one cold-preserved system. Cryo-C fades the look of dark spots and feeds the glow with lipid-soluble vitamin C and Siberian sea buckthorn; D.B.T. Baba Yaga rebuilds the moisture barrier and softens the look of fine lines with three collagen-signaling peptides and a five-part ceramide complex. The serum corrects, the cream seals, and each is formulated in small weekly batches and held at 4°C from raw ingredient to finished bottle, so both halves reach your skin at full potency. When a routine leans on two products in sequence, degradation in either one breaks it. This one arrives intact.

How to Use
Morning and evening:
  1. After cleansing, shake Cryo-C gently and press 2-3 pumps over face and neck
  2. Allow 60 seconds for absorption
  3. Smooth 1-2 pumps of D.B.T. Baba Yaga over face, neck, and décolletage with light upward strokes
  4. Pat gently around the eyes and lips with your ring finger
Tip: For enhanced absorption, apply both to slightly damp skin or mist with Gaea's Gala toner between steps.
Full Ingredient List
We formulate with ingredients most brands can't touch. Because our formulas live their whole lives cold, shelf stability never enters the equation: no swapping fragile actives for tougher, weaker stand-ins, and no preservative system to design around. Just the best ingredient for the job, however delicate.

Storage
You don't need to refrigerate products during daily use, but we recommend finishing each bottle within 90 days of leaving the fridge. If you're not ready to start using a product right away, store it cold until you are (any household fridge is fine). Don't freeze water-based products, and shake well after thawing if any do freeze. Keep all products out of direct sunlight.
Common Questions
Do I need to replace my whole routine?
Not at all. The Glow Duo upgrades the two steps that deliver the most visible results: your serum and your cream. Keep whatever cleanser and toner you already like. If you want ones that match, the Essentials Routine adds both, but it's optional. The Glow Duo works on its own.
How long do the two bottles last?
Each bottle is 50 ml. Most customers finish Cryo-C in 6 to 8 weeks and D.B.T. Baba Yaga in 8 to 10 weeks using both twice daily, so most people reorder about every 10 weeks.
What if I already use one of them?
The Glow Duo is the most cost-effective way to add the second product. Many customers start with one and add the other after seeing what the first does on its own.
When will I see results?
Brightness comes first: many reviewers describe a visible glow within the first two weeks. Firmer skin and a softer look to fine lines build over the following weeks, because the peptide step works by signaling collagen rather than sitting on the surface.

Two steps, both at full potency

The routine that arrives alive

Cold-preserved from the moment each formula is made: no warm warehouses, no months on a shelf, no chemical stabilizers. When a routine leans on two products in sequence, degradation in either one breaks the whole thing. Both halves of the Glow Duo reach your skin at the potency they were formulated at. Cryo-C · Vitamin C Serum

Step one: the correction

Lipid-soluble vitamin C penetrates the skin's oil barrier to reach the melanocytes where dark spots form, inhibiting the enzyme that drives pigment overproduction. Siberian sea buckthorn delivers antioxidant protection and the visible glow reviewers describe within the first week, while rosehip and plant squalane support cell turnover and build the smooth, light-reflecting surface that makes radiance visible. This is the step that corrects tone and feeds the glow.

Step two: the structure

Three collagen-signaling peptides trigger your skin's own collagen production, targeting the look of fine lines that form when that production slows. A five-part bio-identical ceramide complex, three ceramide types with phytosphingosine and cholesterol, rebuilds the moisture barrier that thins with age, and German chamomile with rose damascena calms the inflammation that competes with the actives. This is the step that seals the serum and adds its own firming benefit on top.

Why single products fell short

When you rely on two products to work in sequence, degradation in either one breaks the whole routine. A vitamin C serum that oxidized in warm storage can't inhibit the enzyme behind dark spots; a peptide cream with heat-fractured bonds can't signal collagen. Most skincare sits in warm warehouses and on shelves for months before anyone opens it. Wild Ice holds every ingredient and finished bottle at 4°C from arrival through formulation, so both halves of the Glow Duo work because both arrive intact.

More on why heat matters
Three short chapters: the journey, the chemistry, and the beauty-fridge problem
The conventional supply chain

The Journey That Adds Up

0
degree-days of heat absorbed before it reaches you
heat warehouse
Months in a warm warehouse
heat truck trailer
155°F trailer summers
heat retail shelf
No fridge at the store
So what does all that heat do?

The Problem Was Never Your Routine.

Preservatives fight one problem. Heat causes three.

Bacterial growth 1

Bacterial Digestion

Bacteria multiply in warm formulas. Preservatives suppress them. Cold slows them too, without adding to what your skin has to absorb.

Oxidation reactions 2

Redox Reactions

Heat drives chemical reactions that degrade vitamin C, ceramides, and peptides. Preservatives don't slow this process. Cold does.

Enzymatic activity 3

Enzymatic Activity

Plant enzymes keep breaking down botanical compounds after harvest. Preservatives don't affect this. Cold puts them on pause.

Skincare mini fridge with a rotten banana
About those beauty fridges

Cold Can't Unspoil the Banana

Everyone wants fresh skincare. That's why beauty fridges are everywhere. But chilling a conventional serum makes about as much sense as refrigerating an old banana.

Your serum absorbed 1,956 degree-days of heat before it ever met a fridge. A banana at least has the courtesy to turn brown; a degraded cream looks and feels identical to a fresh one.

Beauty fridges make conventional skincare cold at the end. Wild Ice is cold from the beginning.

So why don't all brands chill?

Between warm warehouses, hot freight, and un-chilled retail shelves, it's nearly impossible to get big while staying cold. The industry won't change until enough customers demand it. Someone had to take the plunge first, so we did.

Mila, founder of Wild Ice Botanicals

Fresh was never optional

I grew up in the Soviet Union watching my grandmother make skincare from her garden. It worked because it was fresh. There was no other option.

In 2018, I began cold-storing every ingredient and finished product. I hadn't changed a single formula; the reviews changed on their own. A national retailer offered us shelf placement but refused to refrigerate. We walked away.

Every product is made in our studio, in small weekly batches. I've worn every formula through three pregnancies. Every bottle is one I'd use on my own family.

Frequently Asked Questions

Not at all. The Glow Duo upgrades the two steps that deliver the most visible results: your serum and your cream. Keep whatever cleanser and toner you already like. Apply Cryo-C after cleansing, then seal with D.B.T. Baba Yaga. If you eventually want a cleanser and toner that match, the Essentials Routine adds both, but it's completely optional. The Glow Duo works on its own.
Each bottle is 50 ml. Most customers finish Cryo-C in 6 to 8 weeks and D.B.T. Baba Yaga in 8 to 10 weeks using both twice daily, so most people reorder about every 10 weeks. A little of each goes a long way, so it often stretches further.
Serum first, cream last. After cleansing and toning, press Cryo-C over face and neck and let it absorb for about 60 seconds, then smooth D.B.T. Baba Yaga on top to seal it in. The serum corrects and protects; the cream rebuilds the barrier and locks everything in.
Brightness and softer, more hydrated skin come first, often within the first two weeks. Firmer, more lifted-looking skin and a softer look to fine lines build gradually over the following weeks, because the peptide step works by signaling your skin to rebuild its own collagen rather than sitting on the surface. Consistency matters more than quantity; both products, morning and night.
The Glow Duo is the most cost-effective way to add the second. The serum addresses the look of dark spots and delivers antioxidant protection; the cream rebuilds collagen and seals the barrier. They're formulated to work in sequence, and many customers start with one and add the other after seeing what the first does alone.
Yes. Both formulas are built on calming, anti-inflammatory bases: Cryo-C on lightweight non-comedogenic oils, D.B.T. Baba Yaga on organic rose damascena distillate with German chamomile. Neither contains chemical preservatives, synthetic fragrances, or synthetic dyes. Many reviewers with sensitive, reactive skin use both daily without irritation. There's a second factor most people don't consider: when actives, peptides, and lipids degrade through heat and oxidation, they form fragments that weren't in the original formula and can be sensitizing even when the parent ingredients were gentle. Cold preservation prevents that degradation, so what reaches your skin is what was formulated.
You don't need to refrigerate products during daily use, but we recommend finishing each bottle within 90 days of leaving the fridge. If you're not ready to start using a product right away, store it cold until you are (any household fridge is fine). Don't freeze water-based products, and keep both out of direct sunlight. A beauty fridge is a nice bonus, not a requirement: the cold-preservation advantage happens before the products ever reach you.
No chemical preservatives (cold does the preserving), no synthetic fragrances (the scents come from the botanicals), no synthetic dyes, no parabens, no phthalates, and no animal-derived ingredients. Both Cryo-C and D.B.T. Baba Yaga are 100% vegan and cruelty-free.
