Can I use Wintry Fix daily?

Wintry Fix is a potent exfoliant, so we don’t recommend using it every day. Once per week is sufficient for most folks. But for areas of your body that are especially dry and flaky, you may want to use it 2-3 times per week.

Can I use Wintry Fix on my face?

We formulate all of our products to be extra gentle, but we don’t recommend using Wintry Fix on your delicate facial skin. Instead, grab a bottle of Yuki-Onna Facial to exfoliate and polish your pretty face.

How do I apply Wintry Fix?

Although you can use a sponge or loofah, most folks find applying Wintry Fix in small motions with their bare hands is a satisfying tactile experience. (Who says you can’t have a little fun while you beautify!)

Can Yuki-Onna really replace my regular spa facials?

There’s nothing quite like spending an afternoon at your favorite spa, and we would never tell you not to do that! But for those of us who find monthly facials more burdensome (or expensive) than enjoyable, Yuki-Onna is the closest you’ll get to a professional-grade facial at home.

And chances are, the ingredients in Yuki-Onna are much better for you than the ones used at your local spa, too.

Since Yuki-Onna contains acids, do I need to wear sunscreen after use?

We always recommend a good SPF, especially if you’re using a product that contains refining and smoothing acids (like Yuki-Onna). Look for a sunscreen with a physical factor like Zinc Oxide or (non-aerosol) titanium dioxide.

Do I need to keep Yuki-Onna cold?

No! Because our products are made fresh and kept cold until we send them to you, they won’t begin to degrade for several months. With regular use, you’ll run out of Yuki-Onna before it degrades.

Just remember to keep Yuki-Onna (and all of your other skincare products!) out of direct sunlight.

Two products come in the 100 ml jar, and neither one is a daily step. Yuki-Onna is the face one, a triple-acid mask with three seeds and white willow that leaves skin polished. Wintry Fix is the strawberry sugar scrub for your body, and it stays off your face.

They are jars because you scoop them. Once a week suits most skin, and two or three times a week on patches that stay dry and flaky. A sponge or a loofah works for Wintry Fix, though most people end up using their hands.

Yuki-Onna is the closest thing we make to a professional facial at home, which counts for something when monthly appointments feel more like an expense than a treat. It works with acids, so keep a sunscreen going afterwards. A physical one with zinc oxide is what we would pick.
