How to Use Kinesiology Tape to Look Younger: 6 Steps

Simple solutions are often the best. This is especially true when it comes to fighting the signs of aging. That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce our Chrysalis Kinesiology Face Tape: a straightforward tool for reducing wrinkles, sagging skin and more.

But first things first: what is kinesiology tape? You may have heard of this sticky solution from some of your athletic friends, since it’s often used to treat muscle and joint injuries (or prevent them from getting worse).

Originally invented by a Japanese chiropractor, this ingenious little tool lifts and holds your skin in place, and though it was invented to help with pain, it’s also an excellent beauty tool.

We’ve created Chrysalis as a non-invasive alternative to Botox, which is potentially toxic. Our tape is made from 100% natural cotton and non-toxic glue. And it doesn’t require any injections.

Instead, the face tape mimics the natural texture of your skin and gently lifts it into place. This allows nutrients to flow more easily under your skin, which can reduce puffiness and swelling.

Chrysalis also counteracts your facial muscles’ tendency to shorten and weaken as you age, which leads to wrinkles and jowls. The tape teaches your muscles a new resting position, which can lead to a reduction in lines and a more toned-looking face as time goes on.

The best part is that you can simply apply Chrysalis and go to sleep. It does all its work overnight while you get your rest. (Talk about beauty sleep.)

How to Apply Chrysalis

Teamwork makes the dream work when it comes to skincare. So we strongly recommend combining Chrysalis Face Tape with our potent skincare products and the massage technique described below.

Wash. Use‏‏‎  ‎B-Meltee Cooling Facial Cleanser  or your favorite face wash to get your face clean.

Massage. For best results, layer‏‏‎  ‎Cryo-C Facial Glow Serum  and‏‏‎  ‎DBT Baba Yaga Cold Cream Therapy  on your face. Using your fingertips, massage your skin in small circular motions to improve blood flow. Wait at least 15 minutes for your skin to dry.

Cut your tape. Cut your Chrysalis tape crosswise to your desired length. Next, cut that piece in half lengthwise, and then cut those pieces in half lengthwise again. You should now have a total of four rectangular, identical pieces.

Apply your tape. Pinch one end of the backing off to expose the glue. This end is called the anchor. Using light pressure, apply the anchor to your desired spot with the loose end pointed downward.

Then pinch the remaining backing and slowly pull it off. Pinch the dangling end of the tape and apply it un-stretched to your skin.

For a more detailed explanation of how to apply the tape, see our the video below:

Add pressure. Now apply gentle fingertip pressure to the tape starting at the base and sliding up towards the anchor. Repeat with remaining pieces of tape in your desired location. Tape should not overlap.

Wait. Gently rub the tape after application to activate the adhesive backing. Leave on for three to eight hours (overnight is recommended).

Remove. Slowly peel off each piece of tape. Catch a glimpse of your gorgeous self in the mirror!

Chrysalis isn’t too good to be true, which means it takes some time for it to work. It’s a gentle, yet effective tool that works with your body over time (rather than injecting it with toxins). So with consistent use, you’ll see excellent results.
