You read every label in your skincare routine. When was the last time you read your perfume's?

Most perfumes list "fragrance" as a single ingredient. That one word can represent dozens of synthetic compounds: phthalates used as fixatives, synthetic musks that persist in tissue, formaldehyde-releasing preservatives. Memoir of a Frozen Flower is formulated from botanical essences. Every ingredient is a plant you can name.

The Scent

Memoir is blended at parfum concentration, the highest tier available, from botanical essences rather than synthetic fragrance compounds. The scent develops in three stages on your skin, and every wearing unfolds slightly differently based on your body chemistry. That's the nature of real botanical fragrance.

Calabrian Bergamot + Lily of the Valley — Opening

The first 15-30 minutes. Bright, crystalline, fresh. Real cold-pressed Calabrian bergamot oil, not synthetic linalool or bergapten isolates. The opening is clean and immediate: the kind of first impression that draws compliments before you've left the house.

Yuzu — Heart

Hours 1-3. The citrus shifts. Yuzu unfolds with an unexpected sweetbitter depth that synthetic citrus compounds can't replicate. The complexity comes from the full terpene spectrum present in the real cold-pressed oil, not a single isolated molecule designed to approximate it.

Sandalwood + Cedar — Base

Hours 3-8. The warm, grounding finish. Steam-distilled sandalwood and real cedarwood, not lab-created santalol. These wood oils bind to skin and develop slowly over the course of a day. On moisturized skin, the base carries for 6-8 hours. This is where parfum concentration earns its name.

Why This Perfume Lasts When Other Natural Fragrances Don't

If you've tried natural perfumes before, you already know the problem. They smell beautiful for thirty minutes, then they're gone. That's not a formulation failure. It's a storage one.

The aromatic compounds in botanical oils are volatile by nature. Terpenes, esters, aldehydes: heat accelerates their evaporation and oxidation, flattening complex scent profiles into stale, simplified versions of themselves. By the time conventionally stored botanicals are blended into a perfume, a portion of their aromatic range has already degraded.

Conventional perfumers compensate with synthetic fixatives. Phthalates extend longevity by slowing evaporation. Synthetic musks replace faded base notes. The result is a perfume that lasts, but only because a chemical scaffold is holding degraded ingredients together.

Wild Ice cold-preserves all fragrance ingredients and finished blends at 4°C from arrival through formulation and storage. The botanical compounds arrive at their full aromatic potency, which means Memoir doesn't need synthetic fixatives to perform. The longevity comes from the ingredients themselves.

"I've spent years going without any sort of perfume because I don't want to expose myself to all the endocrine disruptions and toxins … It's lovely!"

Layer for Longer Wear

Moisturized skin holds fragrance longer. Apply D.B.T. Baba Yaga peptide cold cream to pulse points before Memoir for extended wear time, plus ceramide and peptide benefits on your wrists and neck.

Size: 50 ml / 1.7 fl oz | Dispenser: Pump | Concentration: Parfum

Not ready for full size? Try the mini for $29.

How to Apply

Pulse points:

  1. Spritz onto the inside of wrists, sides of neck, inner elbows, and behind earlobes
  2. Don't rub. Rubbing breaks down the bergamot and lily of the valley top notes that make the opening so distinctive. Press and hold instead.
  3. For a softer presence, spray the air at arm's length and walk through the mist

Tip: The warmth behind your knees and below your navel makes fragrance bloom. These are the pulse points most people skip.

Layering: Apply D.B.T. Baba Yaga to pulse points before Memoir. The natural oils extend wear time and give those areas peptide and ceramide benefits while you're at it.

Storage: You don't need to refrigerate Memoir during daily use, but we recommend using each bottle within 6 months for the fullest aromatic profile. If you're not ready to start using it right away, store it cold until you are (the kitchen fridge is fine). Keep out of direct sunlight.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the scent last?

On moisturized skin, expect 6-8 hours with the full three-stage development: bright citrus opening (15-30 minutes), yuzu heart (1-3 hours), then the sandalwood and cedar base that carries through the rest of the day. Applying over D.B.T. Baba Yaga or any quality moisturizer on pulse points extends wear time noticeably.

Will Memoir give me a headache?

Many customers who get headaches from conventional perfumes find Memoir comfortable to wear. Synthetic fragrance compounds, particularly synthetic musks and certain aldehyde substitutes, are the most common headache triggers in conventional perfumes. Memoir contains none of them. Several reviewers have specifically mentioned that Memoir is the first perfume they can wear without headaches.

Can I layer Memoir with other Wild Ice products?

Yes. The scent pairs well with any Wild Ice product, and it tends to last longer over moisturized skin. Applying D.B.T. Baba Yaga to pulse points before spraying Memoir is the most popular combination: you get extended wear time and skincare benefits on your wrists and neck.

What's not in this formula?

No phthalates (no hormone-disrupting plasticizers used as fixatives), no parabens, no synthetic musks (no bioaccumulative fragrance compounds), no formaldehyde-releasing preservatives, no synthetic fragrance compounds of any kind. Memoir is hypoallergenic, 100% vegan, and cruelty-free.

The ingredients on your label are probably excellent. The problem is what happened to them before they reached your skin.

Conventional skincare absorbs heat at every stop between the factory and your bathroom. That heat breaks down the actives you're paying for.

    We measured exactly how much.

Preservatives Fight One Problem. Heat Causes Three.

    Bacterial growth

    Bacterial Digestion

Bacteria multiply in warm formulas. Preservatives suppress this. So does cold, without the chemical load on your skin.

    Oxidation reactions

    Redox Reactions

Heat drives chemical reactions that degrade vitamin C, ceramides, and peptides. Preservatives don't slow this process. Cold does.

    Enzymatic activity

    Enzymatic Activity

Plant enzymes keep breaking down botanical compounds after harvest. Preservatives don't affect this. Cold puts them on pause.

Skincare mini fridge with rotten banana illustrating that cold cannot reverse prior heat damage

    Cold Can't Unspoil the Banana

Beauty fridges are popular because everyone wants fresh skincare. But putting conventional products in one makes about as much sense as refrigerating an old banana.

Your serum already absorbed 1,900+ degree-days of heat damage before it reached you. Months of warm ingredient storage, manufacturing, and warehousing.

A spoiled banana has the courtesy to turn brown. A degraded cream looks and feels identical to a fresh one. You just wonder why your skin isn't improving.

Beauty fridges make conventional skincare cold at the end. Wild Ice is cold from the beginning.

Why Don't Other Brands Chill Too?

Retail won't refrigerate it. Amazon requires products to withstand 155°F indefinitely. Contract manufacturers formulate at room temperature. The conventional supply chain is built around products that survive heat, not products that avoid it.

Cold preservation means no retail placement, no marketplace distribution, no outsourced production. It requires small-batch formulation, dedicated cold storage, and shipping directly to you.

We built Wild Ice from the ground up around that model.

    Meet Your Formulator

I grew up in the Soviet Union watching my grandmother make skincare from her garden. It worked because it was fresh. There was no other option.

In 2018, I began cold-storing every ingredient and finished product. I hadn't changed a single formula. The reviews changed on their own.

A national retailer offered us shelf placement but refused to refrigerate our products. We walked away.

I hand-formulate every product in small weekly batches. I've worn every formula through three pregnancies. Every bottle is one I'd use on my own family.

“I purchased this product to help combat the effects of aging. It’s working! I have a friend who is an esthetician. She asked if I had been receiving Botox or had changed my skin care routine. The only thing different has been Cryo-C! It smells and feels amazing. Fine lines and wrinkles are appearing less noticeable. I definitely recommend this product!”

    Sherri W. · Cryo-C Serum

    ★★★★★

“My skin is moody and picky. I have spent thousands of dollars trying to find products that will balance my dry/oily/red/hormonal skin. I use two drops in morning and three drops in evening. Three days in, my teen daughter said she loved my highlighter on cheekbones. It was this oil that luminated my skin! Had to reorder immediately.”

“After a 30 day pre-cancer treatment that was recommended by my dermatologist, I had scabs and sores all over my face. I wanted my face healed quickly. Thanks to this entire line my face healed quickly, and stayed moisturized. My skin never cracked. Each product connected to the other to help me get my face back to normal. A big thank you.”

To get me away from my products that I have been using for 15 years is BIG! Most of all my skin isn’t inflamed or red. I thought that was just my skin until I used your products.”

    Common Questions About Cold-Preserved Skincare

Do I need a beauty fridge?

It helps but it's not required. Our products are formulated to remain stable at room temperature for the duration of normal use (most customers finish a product within 6-8 weeks). The cold preservation advantage happens before the product reaches you: cold-stored ingredients, cold formulation, cold warehousing. That's where conventional skincare accumulates months of heat damage that we avoid entirely.

If you do have a beauty fridge, storing Wild Ice products in it will extend their potency even further. But you're already getting the product at a level of freshness that room-temperature brands can't match, fridge or no fridge.

What if my package sits at my door while I'm at work?

A few hours of doorstep time doesn't meaningfully affect the product. Conventional skincare accumulates thousands of degree-days of heat damage across its supply chain lifecycle. A package sitting in afternoon sun for four hours might add a single-digit number of degree-days. The gap between Wild Ice and conventional products is so large that even a full day on a hot porch leaves our products with a fraction of the heat damage a conventional product accumulated before it was even sealed in its box.

How long do products last once I'm using them?

Most customers use a product within 6-8 weeks of receiving it. During that time, stored at room temperature, the product remains stable and effective. If you're not planning to start using it right away (gifting it, finishing another product first), store it in any refrigerator until you're ready. The kitchen fridge works fine.

Our products don't contain the heavy chemical preservative loads that give conventional skincare an 18-month shelf life, because they don't need them. They're made fresh, shipped fast, and designed to be used, not stockpiled.

Are your products safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding?

Mila formulated and tested every Wild Ice product during pregnancy and breastfeeding. She has worn every formula through three pregnancies. Our products use no parabens, no synthetic fragrances, no phthalates, and no chemical preservatives: the ingredients you're typically told to avoid during pregnancy aren't in the bottle to begin with.

Hundreds of customers have used Wild Ice products during pregnancy and breastfeeding. That said, we always recommend checking with your OB or midwife before adding anything new to your routine. Every practitioner has their own guidance, and we respect that.

If cold preservation is so effective, why isn't everyone doing it?

Because it's expensive, logistically difficult, and incompatible with how the industry distributes products. Conventional skincare is built to survive months of warm warehousing, long-haul freight, and retail shelf display. That entire infrastructure depends on products being shelf-stable in heat.

Major retailers won't install product fridges that rearrange floor space and make their other lines look inferior. Amazon requires products to withstand 155°F indefinitely, with no exceptions. We asked.

Cold preservation requires a completely different model: small batches, dedicated cold storage, direct-to-consumer shipping, and no retail partners. Most brands can't or won't restructure their entire operation around temperature control. We built Wild Ice from scratch specifically to do this, and we turned down retail distribution to protect it.

    Do you ship cold?

Not yet, though we're actively working on it. Here's why it matters less than you'd think.

The days a product spends in a shipping box are a tiny fraction of its total lifecycle. The real damage in conventional skincare happens during months of warm ingredient storage, warehousing, and retail display. That's where thousands of degree-days of heat damage accumulate. Transit adds a small, single-digit number by comparison.

We could put a cold pack in every box. But that would be an expensive gesture solving roughly 2% of the problem while raising your price. The cold preservation that matters is everything before the box, and that's the part we've solved.
